Galatians 1:10

Galatians 1:10

Galatians 1:10

10 For am I now seeking the approval of man, or of God? Or am I trying to please man? If I were still trying to please man, I would not be a servant of Christ.

What consumes the majority of our time, our thoughts, and our energy day to day? Is it something that pleases man or pleases God? There are things in our daily lives that may take a large majority of our time (work, family, school, etc.), and those things honor God. However, do we compromise in other areas to impress others? We cannot serve 2 masters (Luke 16:13) and for The God who gave us everything, why hesitate to serve Him fully? Challenge yourself this week to lay down the distractions and point your focus solely to God. You choose what you will make time for.

Colossians 3:23-24

23 Whatever you do, work heartily, as for the Lord and not for men, 24 knowing that from the Lord you will receive the inheritance as your reward. You are serving the Lord Christ.

Prayer for this week:

Dear Lord, thank You for Your grace and lovingkindness. Forgive me when I go astray, and please continue to lead me back to Your presence. I lift my eyes to You and I pray that when I seek You, I find You. I desire to serve You and nothing else Lord, and I lay down at Your feet the distractions and desires of this world.  I love You for who You are and what You've done, and I am eternally grateful. In Jesus name, Amen.
