Galatians 6:7-10

Galatians 6:7-10

Galatians 6:7-10

"7 Do not be deceived: God is not mocked, for whatever one sows, that will he also reap. 8 For the one who sows to his own flesh will from the flesh reap corruption, but the one who sows to the Spirit will from the Spirit reap eternal life. 9 And let us not grow weary of doing good, for in due season we will reap, if we do not give up. 10 So then, as we have opportunity, let us do good to everyone, and especially to those who are of the household of faith."

In most things in life, what you put in is what you get out. What are you sowing in your relationship with Jesus? Do you talk with Him daily? Do you read and study His word? Do you build community in the church? The actions that build a better relationship with Jesus are only "works-based" if you think they get you into Heaven. Know that the sacrifice that Jesus made is enough for your salvation and then build the desire and the practical pattern of actions that sow to the Spirit, and reap what God has gifted us which is eternal life. Remember the promises that God has given us and don't grow weary of doing good because the reward is great.

Matthew 9:37-38

37 “The harvest is plentiful, but the laborers are few; 38 therefore pray earnestly to the Lord of the harvest to send out laborers into his harvest.”

Prayer for this week:

Dear Lord, thank You for Your Holy Spirit. Thank You for Your promises and faithfulness. I will sow into my relationship with You with diligence and fervor because of who You are. I lay down the fleshly habits at Your feet and declare that I will not grow weary of doing good. Please relight the fire in my heart for You and Your kingdom. I love You for who You are and what You've done, and I am eternally grateful. In Jesus name, Amen.
